Do secondaries for MD/PhD applicants always include the same set of questions for the MD-only pathway at the respective school (plus additional questions for MD/PhD)? Would like to confirm before I begin pre-writing secondaries based on MD prompts.

depends on the program. Some have extra, some don't even have essays...

To rephrase: If a medical school does have secondary prompts, will MD/PhD applicants always be required to answer these at minimum (meaning, in addition to --rather than instead of-- prompts specifically for MD/PhD candidates)?

Not always, but often. Sorry I cant be more specific, but it really does vary a lot by school. If you have specific schools in mind, google around and you might hit on it. Otherwise, make sure you have a good essay about your research and if you really want to prepare, at least 3-5 faculty you might want to work with at every school (they will all ask for it at some point).

It's so different for each program. If you want a head start, you can ask friends who applied early and received secondaries or do some internet search for past year prompts.
