As long as you maintain a GPA of 2.7, are there any prereqs in college for these schools.

Assuming you do well on the MCAT, one technically doesn't even needs to take Biology or Chemistry, although it would be recommended, correct?

Assuming you are at a 2.7, would a grade of D count against you or prevent acceptance?

Basically, all you need is a 2.7 and a BA to get accepted assuming your MCAT and interview are good.

I really do not think 2.7 will guarantee a good shot in medical schools in Australia as it's the minimum score. It will be good to set a higher benchmark,to have a more competitive entry.

Based on Usyd medical school admission guidelines for international students, 2.7/4.0 is their minimum score for admissions.
Minimum ≠ Competitive

Other schools might require more or less, but better to prepare for more and hit a higher score.

Got to hit min.500 MCAT and usually competitive scores range slightly higher than that.

I guess a bad grade only affects the final GPA calculation.Since,it's weighed GPA scores( yr 1 gpa x1 + yr2 gpa x2 + yr3 gpa x3 /3 ), if you score D later in yr 3,it can seriously cause your GPA to drop a lot. However,if you get the min. 2.7,it doesn't matter anyway, since the admissions don't focus so much on the individual grade, but more on overall performance.

Yep,BA is eligible for application, just got to work harder for the science components of MCAT.

Interview matters a lot, unless you apply for UQ. For some unis, the interview makes up 50% of the final deciding factor in the applications.
