I know this is an old post, but maybe this reply would still be helpful. I am a pharmacist (10 years hospital/clinical pharmacy) who is beginning my third year in medical school. They are two entirely different things. Night and day, the only overlap is some pharmacology and thats it. If you truly want to be a physician, try to go to medical school. Pharmacy is not a suitable substitute. They are completely different jobs, believe me I have seen both sides of it. I have no regrets coming to medical school by the way. Also the pharmacy market is terrible, at least here in the US.
