I just completed my residency and planning to move to Texas. Waiting for Texas license is a nightmare. I have interviewed at some places around the Houston area and the pay seems to be low.
$140-150K. Outside Houston(1-2hr drive), there are well paying opportunities.

Just wanted to check what others are experiencing in other major cities???

It's hard to make an assessment without knowing more details. Compensation structure (salary only, base+productivity, etc.)? Call frequency? Work days per week? Other responsibilities (nursery, etc.)?

Sounds about rights for a fresh grad in a primary care setting. I had an offer for ~170k, but it was for an urgent care position.

Sounds about right for what I knew of people getting in Chicago - mostly within the city, suburbs might have been different. But the details matter too - seeing your own newborns, taking call, number of clinic days per week - too cush of job and you're just not generating $$$ to sustain your position.
