hey guys, I am looking to apply to pediatrics this coming year. I wanted to get your opinion on my chances of matching with the following criteria.
1) I am a US IMG
2) step 1 score: 210
3) step 2 score: 242
4) got an A in every 3rd year clerkship except 1 B+
I am confident about my step 2 score, however my step 1 score limits me when applying to a lot of places because the minimum score they are asking of IMGs is above 210. Do programs with "minimums" consider you at all if you don't meet the minimum?
Any insight into my chances with these scores?
Should I be applying to FM as a back up even though I don't want family at all??
