I've read on different drug user forums they use it for withdrawal. I've never seen them talk about this high of a dose or getting high. They make it clear it doesn't get to the receptors but might bind enough to ease acute withdrawal syndrome. People really are desperate. I've also read articles about possibly having it behind the counter at pharmacies like Sudafed.

The lengths that people will go to to get high. Booze, drugs of any kind just to cope because they lack the skills to cope with life without a crutch of some kind. Nothing surprises me.
