cgpa-3.42, sgpa-3.31 (mostly A's, excluding a couple C's that screwed me)
MCAT 511: 129, 126, 129, 127
-1.5 years (~3,200 hours) analytical chemistry experience in metabolomics, no pubs
-1.5 years (~1,200 hours) enzyme biophysics spectroscopy, student research assistant
- 2 years ( ~5,700 hours) Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting Specialist in Marine Corps with DoD EMT
- 1.8 year (~ 4,000 hours) Technical rescue specialist: a lot of certifications and trauma emergency training on pigs (gnarly)
- 60 shadowing hours- 40 orthopedic surgery in private practice, 20 in nephrology academic medicine
- 100 hours in Naval hospital ER volunteering as EMT
- 450 volunteer hours as organic chemistry tutor
- genetic disease runs in family, exposure to what disease really looks like from the caregiver perspective. (Personal statement fuel).
- financially disadvantaged growing up
- first generation college grad
- white male
- CA resident
