You will match rads with a 247, no problem. Just be able to say why you're making the last min switch in your PS/interviews. Relax.

Even without any radiology rotations?

Yes. May not be top tier, but although 'historically' competitive, a problem with rads is the high number of available spots - which haven't been cut down yet. you will match somewhere without a doubt.

You sound like a stud applicant probably originally destined for something much more competitive than radiology. With all honors and a high board score and research, I think you'll match at a very very good program.

If you don't like working by yourself in the dark all day, do rad onc. It's less competitive now. Do what you love.

radiology is sitting in the dark staring at a computer all day. medicine is sitting in the light staring at a computer all day + headache.

Why are you simultaneously dissing DR and talking about a random other specialty?

Is that a diss or is that literally the definition of DR? To read alone in the dark?
