Keeping anatomy lab out of my hair?

I just started anatomy lab this week and have had to wash my hair after every session because the smell is stuck in my hair. I can't afford to spend an hour everyday doing my hair. :/ Does anyone else with natural AA hair have any tips for avoiding having every day become wash day?

I'm a grad student teaching A&P, and the best solution I've found so far is to use a wide stretchy cloth headband to basically cover my hair. My hair is type 3B/C and is about 6-7 inches long at the moment. That and, hate to say it, but I've basically just gotten so used to the smell that I don't notice it anymore.
