Hello fellows!

I just got out of residency, and I'm already feeling the weirdness of not "having" to study. Im looking for a good journal to subscribe that covers pretty much everything. I was thinking Current Opinion. Next year I'll be starting my fellowship in regional, but before that I'll be doing all types of cases (except cardio).

I also was looking for a good read that kinda covers everything, but in a short, practical, hopefully updated view (AKA not miller/barrash).

Can you guys recommend me something?

Study for the oral boards. That's your journal/book. ;)

Alternatives: the ACE booklets from the ASA, Yao, Anesthesia and Co-existing Disease, Fleisher's Essence of Anesthesia Practice. The latest editions of the latter 3 come with ebook versions that can be read anywhere, in small bits.

I would also get well-versed in the regional anesthesia literature before I start the fellowship.

Self help books on battling depression.

Finance books on how to retire early.

Subscribe to the journal of "BLADE".

All you have to do is ask a question and the articles pop up.

It's genius. No other journal responds to your interests, they just give you what they think is important.

Not the journal of "BLADE".
