JAPMA Experience

Anybody have experience with the JAPMA review process? How long did it take? I have a manuscript I am interested in submitting, and just wanted to know what to expect!

JAPMA's review process has some problems that they have been called out on a couple of times:

There are better journals than JAPMA for your article. I was turned off when the editor published article(s) regarding topical antifingals and in my opinion didn't fully document that he is paid handsomely for speaking for these companies. That's bad enough when you're the author and even worse when you're the journal editor and author. There are rarely papers in JAPMA that are worth reading in my opinion. If your paper is surgical, consider JFAS or Foot&Ankle.
