Is Step 2 CK required for neurology interviews?

Should one have taken Step 2 CK before submitting ERAS on September 15 to obtain interviews for neurology? Thanks in advance.

A few programs (most notably UCSF) require it but not most. It's a good idea to get it out of the way regardless.

Having applied pretty broadly last year without having my score back for a good chunk of the interview invites, I'd say no one really seemed to "require" it. Whether you should take it before apps are due though probably depends on how strong the rest of your app/step 1 scores are. Regardless i wouldn't wait on it to submit.
