I went with presentations I was familiar with. My school has a seminar class during our last year of rotations. This requires us to put together a 10 minute presentation in the fall and a 25 minute presentation in the spring. We give both presentations to our class, a professor, and a resident and get feed back on what we need to work on. For one of my interviews I used this presentation and for another interview I used a presentation I had put together during one of my APPEs and gave to their clinical specialists. (Would have given this presentation twice if the interview wasn't with the people who had seen it during my APPE there.)

Choose something your comfortable with.

I chose a topic from a rotation I recently had. Some programs specified topics. Either way, show enthusiasm and don't be boring. If you take a somewhat stale topic and make it interesting and informative that can speak a lot about your communication skills. Make sure to just answer the "so what?" question regarding your presentation.

A lot of the presentations that are part of your interview has to do with assessing your skills and demeanor and how you may handle a tricky question.
