I'm a fourth year veterinary student at UF trying to determine what to do with my life after vet school. Initially I was considering orthopedic surgery in small animals, but surgeons don't have the work/life balance that I hope to have. I also have strong interests in integrative/rehabilitative medicine. I was talking to some integrative interns while on my integrative clinical rotation and it had me thinking. I'm not sure if I want to go into general practice and just try to incorporate what I have learned into practice, or if I want to further my integrative skills and eventually specialize in Sports Medicine and Rehab. Are there a lot of career options and demand out there for SMR specialists? Would an internship be worth it?

My internmate who is now a SMR resident did a SA rotating then SMR specialty internship before the practice kept her on as a resident this year
