This is not unheard of, in fact most schools already have a 3 year pre-Pharm program and many people complete a 4 year degree before making the decision to enter Pharm-D school. Having been around many P1 students who are only 20-21 years old, not only are many not academically prepared for a Doctorate level program, many are not mature enough and struggle through the first year. I think it is a good move for Hampton, but HU is very expensive, so students may want to rethink their choice in schools. I do not have a choice, if I want to go to Pharmacy School, because of my circumstances.
