A really helpful page on PTCAS I found that lists the average GPA's and GRE's of accepted students for almost every program. There definitely seem to be different tiers of schools, so be sure to apply to some safety schools.

I'm sure someone will appreciate the link, since you are just now finding it, but just fyi PTCAS is the centralized application service that everyone uses to apply to schools and you will become very familiar with it. There are only a handful of schools that don't force applications through PTCAS. But it looks like you haven't graduated yet, so it makes sense that you haven't seen it yet. Just kinda funny you "found" it like it's a hidden gem, when it's probably the most used website by all PT applicants.

Also, Roll Tide!

study hard for those GRE's aim for 160+ in each category and 4.0+ on writing and get a big variety of observation hours, peds, acute, SNF, maybe even retake 1 or 2 courses that you may have gotten a C or B- in, it shows initiative and motivation.

So I am a second year Biology major with a minor in neuroscience. I am lost, PT is my dream but not gpa thinks otherwise. I have a gpa of 2.37 as of right now. I am trying to bring it up. What do you guys think I should do to prepare to apply to graduate schools with possibly a low GPA? Thanks

You're in your 2nd year so the most important thing for you to do is get awesome grades the rest of that time. Even if that means a change of lifestyle or major.

You're in better shape than most low gpas in that you don't have a lot of grades in so these next 2 years plus the rest of this semester can be enough to put you well above 3.0

Update on my stats: wondering if i should take the GRE again to improve them? I'm extremely stressed that I won't get into any program.

Undergrad: Dayton
Major: Biology
Minor: Chemistry
GPA: 3.4 --> last 2 years averaged a 3.82
PrereqGPA: about 3.6
GRE (so far) V:155 Q:155 W:4

Hours: Volunteer: 100 outpatient 50 inpatient Observation 50 - 2 settings
Extras: Honors Biology club, Healing Hearts Club, Pre PT club

LOR: Ex Phys Professor (supposedly gives great letters to the students he respects) 2 PT's I observed and volunteered for

I would like to apply to Ohio University and all other programs in ohio, maybe some outside the state but I've been focused on getting up my GPA, I am also retaking 2 courses this summer to boost my GPA more and taking one more prerequisite that I still need (stats)

Please let me know what you think or any programs that might be good for me to apply to!

Should I retake the GRE and try to get above 160?

Undergrad: WVU

Any advice on schools to apply to or ways to better my application is appreciated. Working on getting my GPA up currently. Really hoping to get into Marshall but feeling like my best chance is Wheeling Jesuit.

Hello! Taking the GRE again could never hurt, although as someone who had very low GRE scores that didn't even break 150, I got into 5 schools this past cycle, which was my first cycle applying. With that being said, the GRE certainly isn't everything, so I wouldn't stress too much if I were you :)
