My cousin really has found an interest in optometry and she now really wants to see if she should go for it and take the OATs before the app cycle starts?
Despite the cons that may have been stated, she has to make a decision now, so she wanted me to post once more and ask if any recent grads and current OD's can please give any feedback or honest opinions. She is geared up to prepare to apply this cycle, but has been hesitant bc of the negative things she has heard thus far regarding the field.
Thus, any docs feel any differently and are actually happy and living a decent life?
