Can someone explain what transorgan static pressure mean? Is this the same thing as transpulmonary pressure ! Thank you : )

Sorry for digging up this thread. But if transorgan static pressure is transpulmonary pressure, then why does a positive transpulmonary pressure in the graph illustrate a collapsing force on the lung? If the transpulm. pressure is negative, then it should be collapsing. Also, what is the dotted lines for the lung graph illustrate?
 
Oh man, I thought that if the transpulmonary pressure was positive the net result was always a collapsing force... That is obviously wrong. However, the collapsing force INCREASES with the increased transorgan pressure, but it is not the dominant force.
