Finding Volunteer Opportunities in NJ

I would like to volunteer at a hospice somewhere in Northern NJ, but I'll be a full-time student so I'm restricted to a few hours per week. Some of the volunteer opportunities I found in NYC require volunteers to be available longer than that. I've tried contacting hospitals, but replies have been few. Any advice?
