AMG. Mid tier university program
220+ steps
2 submitted first author manuscripts. One first author national poster. 5-10 pubs (non first author)
Applied to ~90 programs because of low step scores although advisors said to apply to 30. Half of these were either super top tier or low community programs. Wasted a lot of money being both hopeful and conservative.
Got 28 invites. 4 top/mid tier. 14 solid mid tiers. And rest are low mid tiers or community.
Feeling scared that I'll rank lower at the programs I interview at because of step scores .

Dude you have 28 invites that's a big deal..clearly you're deemed a desirable candidate by the programs, you're going to be more than fine.
nocabg- what your doing doesnt make any sense, you are basically limiting chances from other applicants. Many of us here have few or no interviews bcz strong applicants like you wants to be considered everwhere- if I were you I would cancel half of the list
I agree, 28 interviews.. What's the point? Limiting other applicants and taking up spots for places you will not go

I think programs this year will send second waive of interviews late in the season after they realize that all programs are competing on a small pool of strong applicants who happened to apply everywhere but interested in a certain subset of programs

Did anyone here from Allegheny General Health???
From what I've heard, they haven't sent out invites yet. Take this with a grain of salt.
have the majority of CA programs really not sent any rejections yet? just sitting on the pile?
stanford, ucla, cedars, scripps?
I don't think Cedars and Stanford are going to bother with sending rejections. Our applications to them by default are stamped "rejection" on Day 1 unless you are confident that you are the cream of the lot.
UCLA - one of my friends is a fellow there. They are still reviewing applications.
Scripps - no idea.

Rejection game is strong today. Rejections from Louisville, Rush and LSU. Beth Israel acknowledged my existence but not flat out rejection.
beth israel kicked me to the curb a long time ago
Any news from university of Arkansas, Creighton, Kansas, UKMC?
Where is PGPHANN? mode?
Mini-success story:
Have been emailing programs the last few days. One of the programs initially responded to me stating that they are not extending additional interviews and they are overbooked for now. One week later, I get an interview from them.
There is hope guys. Don't give up. Good luck. God bless.
Nope . 1st.AMG - Mayo (Jacksonville) (9/1) ?second wave?
