Was wondering if Nova extended any offers to anyone after their first round of interviews?Has anyone that had early interviews, like Nova, UW, etc gotten an offer? I know louisville was planning on waiting but I thought most places would tell you right after if you got in or not
Yes. I heard from the residents they did after the social. Does anybody know how many acceptances they gave out after the first interview date ?Was wondering if Nova extended any offers to anyone after their first round of interviews?

Yes but you will lose your deposit if you end up not going there. There are urban legends of PD's calling around to check that their residents aren't going on other interviews but that seems to not be true (according to actual program directors). I have heard horror stories about that guy from A&M though. What happens when you were offered a spot but it is not your number 1 choice? Can you still accept the offer and attend different interviews?
Do you know if they already sent out the invites for that date or when they'll send it out?UCSF will be holding another interview date August 8th
Im unsure about this. My guess is they probably will let people know within this these next couple days if they haven't already. We got about a 1 and a half week notice before oursDo you know if they already sent out the invites for that date or when they'll send it out?

Just some facts regarding schools that are "sponsored" by companies:
NYU just renovated their endo clinic through Dentsply and looks amazing... but they are only allowed to use Dentsply products. Residency should be about being able to test all sorts of products to help you pick-and-choose for your future career.
Another example is Penn -- they are practically sponsored by Brasseler, as the postgrad endo residents (even the UG) only use BC sealer single-cone technique. I've been told by many sources that Penn residents are sitting around all the time without patients due to lack of patient flow.
I'm a Penn D4. None of the comments about Penn above are true. Penn is not sponsored hence you get to use whatever you want. The residents are not restricted to BC and use various sealers and techniques. UG do not use BC single cone. Residents are booked out in advance and busy.
