Drexel or NYMC for a med student interested in psych

Title says it all. urban area is also important to me, so prospect of 2 years of clinical rotations in NYC is nice. however, I hated valhalla.

Go where you will be happiest, both will equip you well for any specialty if you put the work in. Valhalla itself is boring for sure but there's much more to do in surrounding areas (Tarrytown etc) and a 40 minute train ride to NYC.

Since it seems like you would not enjoy your time in Valhalla where you will spend the vast majority of your first two years, I think you should choose Drexel. There is not a big difference in prestige or anything between those two schools (Drexel is very slightly higher ranked) so you should value your happiness if you have the choice.

my friend did a SMP at Drexel, taking a lot of first year classes with ms1's, and hated it there. n=1 though.
