We are hiring a motivated clinical research fellow for an one-year paid fellowship with focus on direct patient care and clinical research. The clinical fellowship is part of the South Texas Dermatology Residency Program located in McAllen Texas. The clinical fellow will be exposed to medical dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, and pediatric dermatology.

Position available starting July 1, 2017.

COMPLETION OF PGY-1 YEAR BY JULY 1, 2017 IS REQUIRED.

WE DO NOT SPONSOR VISA.

The program consists of one full year of training and mentoring. The Clinical Fellow will attend all the basic science and didactic lectures with the dermatology residents. In addition, the Fellow will also follow the attending physician for hospital consults and assist in Mohs Micrographic Surgery. There will be a Kodachrome session at the end of each day to review dermatologic cases. In addition, there will be dermatopathology training with board certified dermatopathologists.

South Texas Dermatology Residency is an AOA accredited residency program with ACGME pre-accreditation status. It is anticipated to accept both MDs and DOs starting July 1, 2018 into the residency program once Initial Accreditation from ACGME is received.

All the previous clinical dermatology fellows have continued their training in a dermatology residency.
