Denti-Cal Transfer of Practitioner/Ownership and General Front Office Questions

Hello, I hope I am allowed to post here even though I'm just a pre-dental student currently.

My father is about to take over an existing practice in Southcal and we're wondering how does the transfer process for denti-cal work. The existing practice does have denti-cal.

Also, what are some good websites or seminars to learn more about the insurance process in general and the front office work? I'm going to manage and do the front office duties for the dental practice once we finalize the transfer so I will have a lot to learn. My father is not really good at English so it'll be all up to me to make sure the office will succeed...

You will need to contact the Denti-Cal rep and ask how to get your father credentialled as a Denti-Cal provider first. Then start transfer patients.
