I'm planning on taking the OAT around the middle of July, allowing myself 7 weeks to study for it. I'm only working a few hours a week in order to be able to spend most of my time studying. Assuming I study around 4-6 hours per day and give myself weekends off, will it be possible to thoroughly prepare for the OAT in just 7 weeks? Obviously, I can up my study time to include one or even both days of the weekend, if needed. I've bought the OAT Destroyer books, and am planning on using them as my main study resources. I'm just nervous that I'm not allowing myself enough time to prep. However, I also don't want to put off taking the test, end up scoring poorly, and have the mandatory 90 day period between testing attempts severely hurt my chances of getting into optometry school since it will cause my application to be delayed (I'm applying this summer). Advice?
