Recently I've been looking into travel PT. I've decided on the area where I'd like to live, so I think contract work may be a better option for me compared to travel PT.

They seem relatively similar but I'd like to learn more about the differences. Google searches of contract PT typically lead to travel PT search results.

If anyone can share info about contract vs travel PT, experience working as a contract PT (especially as a new grad), or reputable staffing agencies I'd appreciate it!

I would write more but I just wrote a book about travel PT that will be published through New Grad Physical Therapy. It should be ready in the next month or so.

In short: do it for 1-2 years after you graduate. Don't do it for the money. Work in a variety of settings in a variety of climates. Don't ever take a 3-month contract. 6 months is ideal. PM for more.
