Here's a list of the most common mistakes we see students make on their personal statement:

1. Rewriting your “Experience List”
2. Exaggerating adversity
3. Save the diversity for the diverse candidates
4. Leave high school in the past (i.e. don’t focus on it)
5. You’re not a doctor yet – don’t act like you are
6. You’re also not a philosopher
7. Don’t criticize other professions
8. Injured athlete
