Yeah, it was the "talking to a brick wall" aspect of A&M's that was the most disconcerting part. Later people at home asked me how it went and I was like "I honestly have no idea." Which was also the answer to the question "Who interviewed you?"
Since there's no feedback it's like making a series of speeches for which you have not prepared to a very small audience who are scoring you as you talk.
ETA: Absolutely nothing fun about it, and I remember wondering right afterward who on earth said that was fun. I did four years of speech/debate competitions in high school (fun even though I was absolutely terrible at it) and I was still overwhelmed by this style of interview.
