Career Prospects after Fellowship

I was hoping any fellows, or post HPM fellowship Doctors, could comment on the career paths taken after doing a HPM fellowship.
Is it typical for Doctors to be varied in Hospice and Palliative Care, or do they choose one path: Hospice route vs Palliative Care route?
It is possible to predominantly do palliative care in a Hospital setting, or is this reserved for Hospitalists who rotate in the palliative unit?
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

When I was applying for palliative care last year, most were for inpatient palliative care only (predominantly inpatient consultation jobs, some with palliative care clinic or home program). Academic programs may have a hospice and palliative care mix (like mine, although majority of my time is in hospice, i take palliative call and teach hpm fellows). Hospice only jobs were less common when I was searching for jobs - at least in the north east.
