i am a PGY1 IM resident interested in cardiology and I was wondering what options are available if I only wanted to do the non-procedural aspects of the field? Are theur any fellowship options which would not require the procedures typically performed? Thanks for any advice on the matter

Are you talking about for a general cardiology fellowship or beyond the general cards fellowship for a sub-specialty of cardiology?

A general cardiology fellowship will prepare you to be a general non-invasive cardiologist and you can certainly stop there and just see patients and interpret imaging studies such as echos, stresses, etc... During your training though you will be expected to participate in procedures such as caths, TEEs, device implants though you certainly don't have to do those in practice if you don't wish to.
