That gpa is a little weak apply DO!

Your shadowing hours are very low so try and increase that to 50 hours before you apply. You have a good list but Minnesota, Wright State and Michigan State accept few non residents. Add more schools such as:
Quinnipiac
Vermont
Einstein
Rochester
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Creighton
Arizona (both schools)
any new private schools that open for 2018(Roseman, Seton Hall, etc.)

Would shadowing be considered that much more differently than working at a clinic?

How did you study for you MCAT?

What is the nature of the work you do in the clinic? Do you have patient contact and follow doctors in their daily activities?

I took a course and spent about three months studying! Nothing special, but feel free to PM me if you want me to be more specific about what I did day-to-day :)

Most of the time I work as a phlebotomist but I also do vitals and some front office work. I do have patient contact, but I don't follow doctors or anything so I can see why that would be an issue.

Would there be a substantial difference in shadowing doctors in a private practice setting versus a hospital setting?
Thank you for the feedback!!
