Anyone planning on applying to Roseman's ED this summer?

I'm applying early decision to Roseman. Got everything done, just waiting on a transcript.

I also have applied ED. Have you heard when they will start sending out interview invitations?
No, but I received an email saying that they are reviewing my materials, and that they start interviews in October. I hope they let us know one way or the other before that long, anticipation is killing me...

Did you guys get an email back right away saying that they've received your documents & are reviewing it?

I got an interview invite this morning! I'll be at the Utah campus on October 13th! They answered my supplemental email the next day.

Does anybody know where u can find tips on how the interviews are, what to wear, or possible questions?
They also said there will be a writing assesment, anyone knows what it is about?

Good luck to everyone... i am doing my application now and in the process of applying

Just a question: I don't have a bachelors but just did prerequisites should i wait to get a bachelor or just apply?

I read in a previous thread that the writing assessment asked how the student would spend the money if they won the Powerball.

Just apply. I am currently attending Roseman at South Jordan and there are a few people that I know of in my class without bachelors.

I interviewed at the Henderson campus a few months ago. The previous threads contain a lot of information that you're looking for. My interview was 30 mins with a faculty and a p2 student. I was asked three questions regarding working in a team and leadership experience. Remember to ask at least a few questions towards the end when they're done asking you questions. Staying silent when they ask you if you have any questions will look really bad on you. They WILL ask you if you have any questions for them. Show interest in the school and smile frequently. Speak politely and do not sound as if you're speaking to your friends, it is a formal interview.

I was told during interview day that the writing assessment will not play a role in their admission process. Regardless of what they say, I would write something with merit.

You can overdress, but do not under dress.

Thanks for the information.
Did you wear a suit and a tie?

I'll see you guys on October 18th at Henderson campus! I'm anxious, but excited. I've already met Dr. Park and we hit it off pretty well. Looking forward to speaking with her again.

" you can submit your supplemental application at any time before the deadline and even before completing your PharmCAS application! PharmCAS has several verification stages, so if you send me (referring to the admission specialist) your supplemental application now, I can watch your progress and keep an eye on your verification. As soon as your file is complete, your application can be reviewed and move forward in our admission process."

The above quote is from an email I received from the Admission Specialist at Roseman for last year's application process. It may or may not be the same process this year.

I am the same way. I have been trying to search for tips. Everybody is saying just be yourself, and they all emphasize that you ask your interviewers questions at the end of the interview when they ask you if you have any questions.
Good luck everybody, see you there on Tuesday.

Good luck, my friend! I hope we all do well. Feel free to say hi if you see me, I'm very friendly! I'll (probably) be the only female in a full tailored men's business suit.

i applied for early admission but have not heard back from them at all.

What are your stats, Dagmaar? Are you certain you met all the requirements? If you don't get in with the ED admissions go around, you'll probably get a chance again with regular admissions.

my stats are not the best around, but they do meet the minimum. I didn't need a PCAT since I have a degree, but the PCAT score should be loaded up as well.

How did the interview go?! You feel good about it?

It went well, I think. I was very nervous but I was able to answer all the questions asked. I interviewed with Dr. Sayre, and a student named Leah, who were very nice. I toured the South Jordan campus, which just made me more excited for the school.

Awesome, I hope you get in.
Have they told you when you you should expect an answer?
I can't wait for my interview to be over tomorrow.

There were 22. I heard there were only 11 last year.

How did everyone's interview go? I hope I did well! I can't wait to find out on Friday to see who all got acceptance emails!

I thought mine went really well. Came out feeling pretty good about it. None of the questions stumped me, and I felt articulate and confident. I'm very relieved and excited. Good luck to you all!

What did questions did they ask all of you?
These were the questions they asked me:
*what are your 2 strengths and 2 weaknesses?
*what challenges do you think pharmacists face today?
*what made you want to become a pharmacist?
*what challenges do you foresee yourself having while in pharmacy school?
*name a time where you were faced with a difficult situation at work and how did you handle it?
*name a time where you were given a large project at work and how did you handle it?

I'd love to see what you all were asked!

I don't recall all the questions, but from the questions I remember:

- Tell me a little about yourself and your background.

- What drew you to Pharmacy?

- Describe a time you had to do something uninteresting, and how did you deal with it?

- Describe a time where you had to work with a difficult person or colleague, and how did you deal with it?

- Describe a moment of adversity in your life and how you overcame it.

- Why do you feel Roseman is a good fit for you?

- Why do you feel you are a good fit for Roseman?

- Describe a time you had to work in a team to reach a goal.
