That would be much better.
For those who have interviews at University of Washington - would any of you be willing to trade your dates in July or August for my date in June? I have a conflict and would really appreciate being able to change, and would consider throwing something your way to sweeten the deal. Please PM me if you are willing to make the trade. Thanks!
Hey guys I'm a nontraditional applicant. I was trying to figure out how many interviews your mentors may have told you to be considered competitive. I was basically looking for a reasonable goal. Thanks!

I know several of us have already had a number of interviews so far. It might be a good idea to start updating that fellowship review thread since it's been a little while since it's been updated.
How much are step scores playing a role in whether you get an interview?
I'm not sure how much step scores matter, but they probably have some impact. ITE scores, on the other hand, don't seem to be a big issue. I have good USMLE scores, lousy ITE scores, and I'm getting interviews. Ultimately, there is no way to know without asking PDs how they choose people for interviews.

Totally agree. Rock solid step scores from an American med school. Lousy SAE scores. This was commented on repeatedly on the interviews I've been on so far. 3 of them openly requested my SAE scores; when I was there the PDs said "we just want to see if you're on track to pass your specialty boards."
Can't believe step 1 still matters

Hey guys! New to this thread. Thanks for all the info - want to add my list so far in case it helps:
Interview Invites (in no particular order)
- Albany
- Dartmouth
- UMMS Baystate
- Columbia
- Mt Sinai
- Rush
- Cedars Sinai
- UIC
- Northwestern
- Duke
- Emory
- Univ of Washington
- UT Southwestern
- Univ of Iowa
- UCSD
Rejections
Applied broadly as you can tell. Based on the running list of all programs invites/rejections there are several programs I will likely not be interviewing at (e.g, Stanford, MGH, Henry Ford, etc). Good luck everyone!!
- Univ of North Carolina
- Beth Israel Deaconess
How supportive/understanding are your programs about taking time off for interviews? I've been getting the run around and it's been a pain in the a$$ with scheduling.
