2016 Matriculating Student Questionaire

I'm a UG student and was looking at the most recent MSQ. Question 50 was they sexual orientation question, but it's only homo/bi/heterosexual without even an 'other' category. My asexual self has dealt with a lot of questions like this in this past, but since we're finally out of the DSM I was hoping it would be updated so I'm not forced to lie just to complete a questionnaire. Does anyone think that might happen soon, or is it not a priority?

On the actual MSQ there is an option to write in how you identify if none of the sexual orientation options fit. Check out page 36 of the MSQ sample: https://www.aamc.org/download/459434/data/msq2016_sample.pdf Apparently it just didn't make it into the written report -- I wonder if there wasn't a statistically significant number of people who chose to write something in, or if they didn't think that people would want or need those data.
