The lecturer is a surgeon who performed quite well on the MCAT if I remember correctly.
I have the older version of these DVD's and they were put together pretty well, but needed some more editing.
I may consider buying a new set if it is geared toward the CBT. How much has changed between the new and old versions?

The videos are recordings of Dr. Ferdinand teaching, which are similar to personalized tutorials sessions, but they are not interactive. However Standard Gold does offer an MCAT University (online) package which includes up to 60 hours of seminars with Dr Ferdinand online (weekends, evenings). Dr. Brett Ferdinand was awarded numerous scholarships en route to graduating with honors in a B.Sc. program. Years ago, confident that he would one day be a doctor fulfilled his passion for teaching by creating The Medical School Preparatory Course (MSPC), which has become a perennial lecture series through MCAT-prep.com. eBay and other online retailers have strict rules about the sale of intellectual property, such as DVDs, which have been re-copied and are being sold in violation of the original owner's trademark or copyright. VeRO is eBay's internal watchdog for these matters. The following sections have been added to the new 2009 Edition MCAT DVDs: MCAT CBT Study Plan (1 hour), Sound, Doppler Effect, Electromagnetism, Electromagnetic Spectrum, Electricity Problem Solving, Amino Acids, Protein Structure, Calorimetry and Thermochemistry.
